Tadworth & Walton Overseas Aid Trust (TWOAT)

Nepalese children thank TWOAT for helping rebuild their school after the 2015 earthquakes

TWOAT (the Tadworth & Walton Overseas Aid Trust) is a small charity (Registered Charity No. 286076), active in Tadworth, Walton and Kingswood, that provides support to small-scale overseas aid projects with a direct connection to this locality. Typically this means projects run by people who have lived in this area or who have friends or relatives here and who can identify opportunities to fund improvements for some of the poorest communities in the world. We ensure that funding goes directly to each project.

Our Mission

Is to give financial support, in some cases a regular commitment, to small scale overseas aid projects that can create a long lasting benefit.

The Projects we support

We find that relatively small sums of money can make a huge difference, especially in the fields of health, agriculture and education.

  • By providing under £1000 we helped a community of some 6,000 people in Africa to gain access to clean water.
  • We paid the annual costs of £1,000 pa for an agricultural advisor running a demonstration plot improving coffee crop yields in El Salvador.
  • For £1,000 per year we covered the wage costs for 5 (yes FIVE) teachers at a school in Sierra Leone.

You can see details of all the projects we currently support on our web site twoat.org.

Over £300,000 raised

Since it was founded in 1982 TWOAT has been able to provide over £300,000 worth of aid for over 220 projects in many of the poorest parts of the world.

All your donation goes to projects

We are proud that 100% of the money donated by our supporters goes to the projects we support, with no deductions for UK admin.
