Starting on Monday, 21 September, Kelly Communications, on behalf of BT Openreach, will be drawing the new cables through the existing ducting in Waterhouse Lane, starting from the box at the junction with the A217. They will need to have a rolling closure of the road as they work through the cutting. Access to properties will be maintained from one end of the closure or the other. It is not sure what signposting they will put at the Waterhouse Lane/A217 junction. It is expected to take about a week to reach the Kingswood Arms.
Once they have reached the side roads, they will be able to cable them but I do not have a start date for those roads.
This exercise is to provide a high speed connection to Burgh Heath exchange, if you request connection.
This work will stop before the railway bridge as the other side will have their service provided by Tadworth exchange, via Mogador.
Again on Monday, and for the same reason, a new telegraph pole will be erected at the junction of Hill Lane and Ballantyne Drive to provide the service to Hill Lane spur.
