TWOATNewsMay2016Tadworth & Walton Overseas Aid Trust’s big event this Spring was a St George’s Day Celebration on Saturday April 23rd. This was staged in the Good Shepherd Hall in conjunction with members from St Cecilia’s Chorus who led the singing of some well-known British songs whilst attendees also enjoyed Bangers & Mash and Fruit Crumbles. It was a great success with over 80 attending. The evening generated around £900 for TWOAT projects and £300 for St Cecilia Chorus.
On July 24th from 2pm to 5.30pm TWOAT will be selling teas when Keith & Elizabeth Lewis open their garden at 41 Shelvers Way as part of the National Garden scheme (admission £4).

In August on Wednesday 24th TWOAT will be running a Teas & Talks event at St John’s Hall Tadworth (opposite the station) from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Visitors can come and go as they like as there will be a series of brief talks about TWOAT projects with teas and cakes available throughout the afternoon. There is no charge for admission although donations will be appreciated.

On Sunday Sept 11th from 12.30pm Roger Ponsford is kindly organising a Spit Roast event for TWOAT in his garden at Kaprifol, 56 Meadow Walk, Walton admission £12 half price for children. For tickets contact Mike Fox on 01737 350452 – further information via www.twoat.org
