The Platinum Jubilee souvenir edition of the Village Voice is now being distributed to all in Kingswood. It contains a pull-out programme of all the events for the 2nd-5th June holiday weekend. You can also access the programme here.
A key event will be the Big Street Party in Waterhouse Lane on Sunday 5th June. Seats at our street-length table are already sold out, but you can come along and join in the fun anyway. Bring your own picnic food or take advantage of special offers from the Kingswood Arms, No 12, Kingswood Wines, The Village Store and The Khyber as shown below.
The street party will start at 12 noon, with a surprise celebrity guest dropping in at 12:45. You won’t want to miss him. We’ll be eating whilst being entertained by The Scratch Band, Jill McGuire and KADDS, and we’ll finish off with some rousing community singing at 3:30. In the Village Hall there will be an exhibition about Kingswood’s history and, for those who bought tickets in advance, some great raffle prizes.
If you have any questions, if you have particular needs, or if you’d like to offer – even if just for a while – to help run things on the day please do contact the organising team at KingswoodQPJ@gmail.com
