The Kingswood Residents’ Associatrion is one of a number of adjacent local Residents’ Associations, which work together as the Banstead & District Federation of Residents’ Associations. Issues covered are usually of wider concern, such as national and regional planning policy, borough-wide amenities and the protection of Green Belt land.
The objective of the Federation is to support the local residents associations in the North of the Borough by focussing on important issues that affect the area. Currently the Federation has some 14 RA’s as members and represents several thousand residents through the Federation Committee. The Federation Committee is usually made up by two committee members from each local Association.
In the past year there were several key issues where the Banstead Federation of RAs took an active part. These included the second Council draft of the Development Management Plan (issued as Regulation 19 Consultation), the Reigate & Banstead Electoral Review of Ward Boundaries and the latest draft of the National Planning Policy Framework – see references under Kingswood Planning Documents.
