Campaign Success Brings New Bus Service to the Village

Great news for Kingswood residents — the Surrey Connect on-demand bus service has now been extended to include our area!

This welcome improvement follows strong local efforts by Mike Gibson and Laurence Teague of the Kingswood Residents’ Association, working with Councillors Shelly Newton and Rebecca Paul now our Member of Parliament, who have campaigned tirelessly to bring the service to Kingswood.

Surrey Connect operates like a mix between a bus and a taxi. You can book a journey when you need it via the free Surrey Connect app, online at www.surreyconnect.org.uk or by calling : 01883 701278 (Monday -Friday 9am-5pm). The bus collects you from a nearby location and takes you anywhere within the local area, such as shops, stations, or health centres.

How to use Surrey Connect:
1. Book your trip using the app, website, or by phone.
2. Select your pick-up and drop-off points within the area.
3. Receive your confirmed pick-up time and vehicle details.
4. Pay in advance or on board — fares are similar to normal bus tickets and concessionary passes are accepted.

This flexible, eco-friendly service makes local travel easier for everyone — right from your doorstep in Kingswood. Please do use the service now we have it.
