Further to the recent Ukraine support news post, there will be a village collection point for specified, needed goods operating from Monday morning. It is in a building at the rear of Waterhouse Cafe, accessed by the driveway beside the Cafe. It will operate from 8.30 to 11.30am Monday to Saturday each week until further notice. We are very grateful to all at Waterhouse Cafe for making this space available and helping Maxine and Tamara to get it ready.
Please note that, if you want to support those impacted by the war in Ukraine,
- THE BEST WAY TO SUPPORT IS BY MAKING A FINANCIAL DONATION, eg TO THE DEC UKRAINE APPEAL
- IF YOU DO WANT TO DONATE GOODS, PLEASE ONLY THOSE LISTED ON THE ATTACHED POSTER.
- PLACE DONATIONS OF EACH TYPE IN A SEPARATE BAG OR BOX AND LABEL IT
Please click here for full poster detailing a list of requirements.
If you wish to donate money: The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), representing 15 of the largest aid charities including Red Cross, Save the Children and International Rescue, has set up a Ukraine Appeal www.dec.org.uk/appeal/ukraine-humanitarian-appeal and donations are being match-funding by the government.
