The KRA seeks your support to protect our nation’s farmland (including Canons Farm) at a critical time.
A government petition has just been launched calling for the removal of Grade 1, 2, and 3 agricultural land from the “grey belt classification within the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). This change is vital to safeguard our most productive farmland from inappropriate development.
These high-quality lands are essential not only to our local landscape but to the long-term security of food production across the country. While this petition may help strengthen resistance to large-scale developments such as those proposed in our area, its impact goes far beyond, supporting farmers nationwide and helping protect the future of British agriculture.
