The Queen is keen that her Platinum Jubilee is marked by neighbours getting together. We’re starting the four-day holiday with some open gardens which you can visit to share a cup of tea, a slice of home-made cake and the opportunity for some relaxed conversation with new and old friends.
Join Angie Peters at 75 Shelvers Way, Tadworth, in Sarah and Hossain’s lovely 170ft cottage garden with herbaceous borders divided into two by a pergola; ornamental trees, shrubs, roses, a hosta display, a vegetable patch, and fruit trees leading into a woodland. Entry £5 (children free), refreshments available (in aid of NSPCC).
Join Simon and Judy Parnall and family at their home – Langdale House, Kingswood Warren Park, Woodland Way. Not a show garden like Shelvers Way, but there will be plenty of chairs, some games for children, and a good opportunity to meet friends and neighbours.
